You can tell if a website is Shopify by simply entering the URL of the website in any browser & adding /admin at the end of the store URL or checking the source code of the website and seeing if there are any Shopify files.
Another trick is to use a browser extension called Wappalyzer.
3 Ways To Tell if A Website is Shopify
1. Add /admin after the URLÂ
Enter the name of the website into the address bar and right after add “/admin”.
If you see the Shopify login page, then the website is a website built on Shopify.
2. Check the Page Source
There is a quick and easy way to check the code of a website to see if it is a Shopify website.
Step 1: Enter the name of the website
Step 2: Right click and go to “view page source” (or use CTRL+U)
Step 3: Do CTRL+F ( search) and type the word Shopify
If you see alot of files with the name Shopify, then it’s most likely a Shopify website.
3. Add a Browser Extension
There is a browser extension called Wappalyzer that allows you to identify the technologies of a website.
You can use it to identify if a website is a Shopify website.
Step 1: If you are using Chrome, go to

Step 2: Install Wappalyzer
Step 3: Click on the Wappalyzer icon that’s shown on your browser and see if any of the technologies is Shopify.
